This is a super delayed post! I got this Nyx Lip Smacking Fun Colors last year and have been using it for several times already. This are my first Nyx lipsticks and here's why I got.
I decided to get red and pink shades. Reds and pinks will always be useful on any occasions!
What's nice with Nyx Lipsticks is that they have the shade at the bottom of each lipstick. No worries even if you accidentally interchanged the caps. This is really helpful for us girls!
Let's start with LSS 516A Chic Red.

On the packaging, the red looks neutral red or a safe red.

When swatched, it looks pinkish red!
Upon testing it, here's what I like about the product:
- It is very pigmented, one application would be enough to those who are afraid of vibrant lips.
- A few application will give a very vibrant lip color, this lipstick will go a long way.
- No need for lip gloss as it is already has a little gloss.
- It's not matte and lip drying lipstick.
- Makes lips healthy looking.
- It lasts a long time since it's very pigmented.
- No smell
- Easy to apply
What I didn't like about the product:
- It leaves lipstick stains on the lips.
This will be a good start of red for those who are afraid of using red lipsticks.
Moving on to LSS 619 Flower (pink).

On the packaging, the red looks girly pink with glittery. Oh no! Glitters on the lips......

The actual product now looks like a metallic dark pink. Oh no!

When swatched, it looks light metallic pink because of the glitters.
Upon testing it, here's what I like about the product:
- It is very pigmented too, one application would be enough.
- A few application will give a more vibrant pink color.
- No need for lip gloss too as it is already a little gloss.
- Makes lips healthy looking.
- It's also not matte and lip drying.
- No smell
- Easy to apply
What I didn' like about the product:
- At first, it was hard to build up the color on the lips since it looks very metallic.
- Though it's pigmented, needs more application to achieve the right pinkish look because it's glittery
- It doesn't last long.
To be able to use this on normal or casual days. Apply this shade one to two times only as it will look sheer. It will look more natural but still with vibrancy because it's glittery metallic.
Look how it looked more natural when I only applied it one to two times only.
The trick to any make up is to explore and play with it. Learn how to use your make up so that you can use it from day to night! It saves time and space in our cosmetic bags! It's also good specially if you left your night lipstick or better yet just bring one!
I would like to try a more natural shade of Nyx Lipstick so I can use it on a daily basis.
