Pink and Black

I'm back to my fashion post! I miss doing this already! You might notice on all of my fashion posts that I'm just a typical lady like you. Yes! You heard it right, just like you. My fashion posts are very relatable, I am same like you that goes to work, commute, walk, battles the rain, etc. So I will try to post as often as possible to show you that we need to get fashion working more here in the Philippines. Huwag tayo papahuli from other countries specially like Thailand (though I love shopping in Thailand haha). Let's keep our feet busy and get fashion all over the metro as applicable to our weather and Pinoy lifestyle!

On a hot Saturday that turned into a rainy cold Saturday with full of errands and I will share with you a little secret of mine (atin atin lang ito ah! Promise???), I got this peklat on my binti and it stress me out!  I don't know if these are bed bugs or what that's why I opted to wear pants. Share with me any product that can easily lighten and remove these peklats!

For this post, I started on the pants then goes on and after piling up everything I found out that my outfit for the day is Pink and Black including my mu and nails.

Sliding on to my jeggings and slip-ons gave me great convenience while doing my errands.

The big what I call fringy details on my top helped me hid my big tummy paired with the dark colored shade of jeans. For skinny girls, wear lighter shade of fitted straight jeans to emphasize your legs and make it look a little chunkier. You don't want to look like a skeleton.

I missed wearing light and simple necklace so I brought it back, a classy look yet with a fun heart shape. Nice right??? I also need to fit some dress for the day so wearing accessories that won't need me to remove it is a must. I always tend to leave things kasi....

Same goes with the bracelet and unintentionally it matched with my classy necklace and whole outfit of all black and pink.

Simple sli-ons is a girl's best friend when you feel like wearing flip flops but wants to look more sophisticated.  To make this slip-ons a little fun there's a small dangling details! Parang earings lang ba?? hehe

Lastly, the ever reliable big bag where I can just shoot all the things I needed.

(From Thailand Top, Giordano jeggings, Long Champ bag,StyleCo. bracelet, VNC sandals)

Filipinas! Let's invade the fashion world everyday!

Pancit ni Mang Juan

Finally!! I learned how to cook adobo!!! My family were all saying that they can already smell the adobo that I was cooking and if it's almost done. And yes I told them that I'm almost done cooking adobo! My gosh... me cook adobo?? Am I kidding you?? Where in fact I don't know how to cook. I can only cook pasta and fried foods. But, No! I am not kidding you. I just did cook adobo but it's not your best cooked chicken or pork adobo. It's Pancit ni Mang Juan in adobo flavor! haha

It's time to give Lucky Me some competition. :) They've been the all time best selling brand when it comes to Instant Pancit Canton. But now, let's see what will happen as Pancit ni Mang Juan comes along. Mang Juan is originally popular from snack category for their Chicharon ni Mang Juan. It was really a big hit! Being a part of FMCG industry, it's easy for me to learn new products that are specially available in supermarkets. And guess what, when I found this on shelves it seems that people already know about Pancit ni Mang Juan with out them advertising it yet.  I learned about it via my office mates and due to curiosity I bought all the flavors at once. The great thing about their flavors are it's very pinoy! Adobo, BBQ and Tinapa!

I've already tried Adobo and BBQ. And tinapa is still for consumption! hehe BBQ flavor really smelled and taste like the real BBQ and it's spicy. So since we have kids at home,  it's more safe to cook a bandehadong Pancit ni Mang Juan Adobo flavor first. I have not yet tried tinapa flavor also, better to try it first before cooking it for the family (if in case they don't want the smell or the taste...)

See their consistent packaging with Chicharon ni Mang Juan?? It's very Filipino, cartoonish and cute! So attractive for a typical Juan. The packaging are very bright yet modern and doesn't look cheap.

I think it has just the right amount of noodles same with that of Lucky Me. It also has the usual powdered flavoring, soy sauce and oil. For my family, we don't use the oil anymore.

The picture don't really give justice to the final product! If you can just smell it, it really smells like a real adobo! As in the chicken or pork adobo. And mind you, it also taste like the real adobo thing and not just the soy sauce only. I think this is a great product, the flavors are very innovative and stands to it's true flavor. I am glad that it didn't fail my expectation to smell and taste the adobo flavor.

Do try their BBQ flavor too! I tell you it's also good! I hope I can blog about it too soon. But for now, I wanna try the tinapa flavor first. :)

What's the best pair of a Pancit Canton?? No other less than, a sunny side up!! hahaha And if I am not on a diet, I could have gotten some pandesals pa! Takaw much ba?? hehehehe

Share me what do you think about Pancit ni Mang Juan. Can't wait how are they going to advertise this product. They still need to advertise it even if word of mouth is already working for them.

Revlon Photoready Airbrush

As promised! Here's my review on another Revlon Photoready product! Revlon Photoready Airbrush. To attain a more flawless look, foundations really do the trick and more so when using airbrush. That's why airbrush is the best make up recommended for brides due to it's very natural and flawless look. So when I saw this product, I didn't hesitate to get this at once! Airbrush in just a tube with out any machine needed.... hhmmmm..... I like!

I got #30 nude color for my skin tone. The packaging is very Revlon Photoready, simple yet earthy. It's placed in can type packaging.

It has a big pump which I tend to get a lot of product out, it's hard to control pumping. Even my sister  pumped a lot of product out and applied it until her neck.

It's time to swatch it! Here's how it look, moose and bubbly upon pumping but the air evaporates too fast and it suddenly became liquid. So when I tried it the second time, I applied it at once on my face to see if there will be a difference but it really becomes a liquid type of foundation and not the airbrush type.

Too much product pumped out.
Blending time, you can see there are shimmers and it looks scary right?? If you can still remember from my previous post what's the unique attribute of Revlon Photoready is it's ability to Photochromatic pigments bend, reflect and diffuse light to help erase flaws. A micro-refined ultra-lightweight texture with a soft, luminous finish.

The shimmers are very visible in my hand and somehow I was able to blend it 3/4 of my hands because I pumped out too much product. It's really hard to control how much product I want to use.

Now, let's try this on my skin and see if the shimmers will be that visible. The shimmers are not that visible when applied to the face. Blended it on my skin and it matched with my skin tone. I didn't had the problem that I might look like a white lady. So here's how it look with out any product. Beware of my breakouts... teenager lang ang peg! hahaha Wondering why I break out more now than during my teenage years!!!! Kainis much!

Took this picture under natural light.
Braving to post this picture! Kaloka and kakahiya! But I want to let you see how it looks....
With a different lighting effect...... but it's also natural light.

You can see that it matched with my skin, just blend it properly to attain the flawless look. You can also notice that it's a liquid foundation rather than airbrush.

So here's my verdict....

What I like about the product:
  • It's sealed with plastic, assured that it's a new stock.
  • It's somehow mousse to liquid texture that has a light smooth finish when applied.
  • Can be buildable to medium to heavy if desired.
  • It's watery and not creamy, with my oily face.... I'm kinda scared to use creamy type of foundations.
  • The shimmers are not visible to the skin and do it's own thing (kumekebs lang siya! haha). It gives a light luminous look. J to the Lo look!
  • It doesn't cake and holds for a long time.
What I don't like about the product:
  • I can't control to pump the product, it tends to bring out a lot of product.
  • There's some kind of a smell that I can't explain (though manageable).
  • Blend blend blend, master blending is the key. If not blended properly, the product will build up too much.

Overall, I like it and I will consider buying it again specially that it only costs 925 pesos. So here's my final look with 2 types of natural lighting again. I don't know why there 2 types of lighting that day! haha

Disclaimer: Personally bought the product.

Nail Art Day

Nails nails nails, us girls won't forget about nails when talking about fashion. Besides having it as part of our styles it's should be part of our hygiene. For this post, I will share with you easy to do nail art. Nail arts have been a buzz here in the Philippines I think 2 to 3 years ago already. More and more girls are very into nail arts but for on the go girls nail art is something to consider. You have to have extra time to sit and wait for your nail art to be done. But cry no more! You can have your nail art done in an instant and you can also do it at home! Presenting.... (OA ba sa pagpresent?? haha) Sticker Nail Art. I've learned about this from my sister in law, she has the best nail art designs ever! So here I am trying this DIY nail art at home.

Here's how it look...

I know you are all excited to know how to use this!! :)

All you need are: Nail stickers, water, buffer and clear polish.

First, Clean your nails then prepare the nail stickers. It's big so you can cut it into half which is good since you can use the other half next time.

After cutting the nail stickers into half, place it in the water then to you nails. Buff the excess nail stickers at the corner of the nails then top it off with clear nail polish! Voila instant nail art done!

It may sound very easy but you need practice to perfect it! Thanks to my niece for helping me do this nail art! Mwah mwah!!!! So here how it goes......

Tips:
  • Ensure that the nail stickers are wet enough so they stick to your nails
  • Cut the nail stickers with curves at the end so it will form accordingly with your nails
  • When applying clear polish, make sure to apply very thin coat on the first application and let it dry after re-applying the second coat. Nail sticker will melt when you apply too much nail polish on the first layer

P.S. Will need some more practice! I will try to do this again next time and hopefully, successful story na! :)

Old Town White Milk Tea

I was introduced to Old Town via my office mate. Old Town is a known coffee brand  particularly their white coffee in Malaysia and also in Singapore. Old Town do have coffee shops too in Malaysia. But for this post, I would like to introduce to you a different product from Old Town and it's their Milk Tea variant. You all know that I love drinking milk teas and I won't let this pass! I actually saw this in a supermarket here in Manila somewhere in Greenhills :) and in an instant I bought this to try it!

Old Town is very know for their White Coffee!!! White meaning more creamier taste and texture and it's the same with their Milk Tea. It's actually 3 in 1 already, so you'll only need to add water!

It contains 8 pieces of 40 grams sachet and costs 160 pesos.

A sachet may look too much in one cup but it's actually just right.

My Verdict:
  • Milky and creamy in right way! (Stands to its brand as white milk tea).
  • I can taste both the milk and tea, balance of the two!
  • Very great aroma of a milk tea.
  • Has just the right sweetness, not too sweet.
  • One sachet is just right!
  • Can drink this either cold or hot!
  • Great drink for relaxation or just anytime you like to drink a milk tea.
  • Great thing about this is that you can drink this anytime you want.
  • Super Like!
Have you tried this already?? You would definitely agree with me. :)

Style

It's another lafang day today.. Oh no!!! Diet mode na ako and on the first day sira na after a day of exercise pa naman! Waaahhh!!! If you remember my previous post what to wear when eating buffet?? Comfort is a must and loose type specially at the tummy part is the key! But never the less fashyon and style shouldn't suffer.......

Here I am today, wearing a very comfortable just above the knee length flowy cut dress. I paired it with my super duper comfortable sandals, you don't want to walk like a turtle due to blistered feet. I again opted to wear minimal accessories to match my outfitey... Less is More!

What do you think about my accessory for today?

I only need a mini bag that day just to carry my must have items when out.

Tip: Wear a thin belt to cut a monotonous color and also to emphasize the waist. To those who have a straight body shape this trick will do for you.

And lastly, to make the look more fun and sophisticated (in short, breaking a manang look) have this type of dress with low back line.  Nice right?? So for all the sort of conservative type of girls, you may try to wear this kind of dress. Love love love!

P.S. To know more about my accesory for this post, stay tuned for my next post. I have a surprise coming up for all of you.

(Forever 21 low back dress, TBA necklace, Kennet Cole bag, Salt Water sandals)
