Baguio Delicacy

I went to Baguio durin the last long weekend. For this post, I would like to share with you some Filipino delicacies again which are a must buy when in Baguio. These are great pasalubongs for your love ones!

Here's the top 10 Pasalubongs when in Baguio.
  1. Of course number one in the list would be Good Sheperd's Ube and Strawberry Jam!
  2. Next will be the very famous Strawberry Fruit that you will pick from the fields.
  3. Baguio Pasalubong will not be complete with out Tartland Lengua De Gato!
  4. Don't forget the Peanut Brittles too. I got the no sugar Peanut Brittle from Good Sheperd's too.
  5. One of the very well known pasalubongs are the sundot kulangot which I didn't buy anymore.
  6. Since I love crinkles I included the Choco Crinkles of Shabath Marketing.
  7. It's been years when I last visited Baguio, so I just discovered that there are already flavored Crinkles and the best flavor to buy ...of course Strawberry Crinkles.
  8. Don't forget Baguio Country Club Raisin Breads too.
  9. Baguio is also know with their very affordable greens too! So don't forget to buy those fresh lettuce, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, marble potatoes, cucumber, etc. (Didn't take photos of the greens as I immediately placed it where it should belong haha)
  10. Lastly, the famous Mikasan Choco flakes too.
There's so much to buy when in Baguio! You not only have a great place to visit but there are also a lot of pasalubongs to give to your love ones!

Davao Durian delicacies

Here's another Filipino delicacy that I want to share with you! When you say Davao, first thing come in  mind is Durian! Though Durian might have a strong smell, it definitely taste good! It's tough on the outside and smelly but it sweet and yummy! Not all likes to eat Durian but for those who knows how to eat Durian, here are some of the Durain delicacy that you should get when in Davao! Since I will not be able to bring home a real fruit, here are the alternative Durian Pasalubong besides the usual Durian Yema, Polvorn, Candy etc.

Let's start with Durian Cupcake!

Here's my experience with Durian Cupcake. It's very mosit and soft, it's great that it has cover on top to prevent the cupcakes from sticking on the box. Though it doesn't taste very Durian for me but for my sister she said that she can taste the Durian (she doesn't like to eat Durian by the way). This will be a great pasalubong for someone who doesn't really like a strong taste of Durian!

Now let's go on to Durian Pie, I was actually able to see this at the airport already and I was thinking if I will get it. But then I was curious to taste it, so I decided to get it. This pie really taste good!!! For Durian lovers, this is a great pasalubong! It really taste like the real Durian. It's sweet but not too sweet that you feel like eating sugar. The pie is good, it's not that thick and complements the Durian! I would definitely buy this again when I go back to Davao.

It has enough amount of Durian!

By the way I was also able to try other Durian products like the fruit itself, Durian shake which was great as a refresher and of course Durian coffee! Yippe! I also got Durian Hopia which I have not yet eaten yet! What's your Durian story???

Yema

I just want to make a quick post, I have actually posted this already on my first blog account before Stylestat. So this would be a soooo back log!!! haha

I Love Yema!!! Yipee!!! During my last business trip way back in November, I went to Bacolod, Iloilo, Bicol and Cebu for almost 2 weeks of going here and there. Besides work, of course a food trip is a must to make the most out of our travel journey (since we will not be able to make pasyal). So with the food trips we had, buying pasalubongs was a part of it and happily I found these yemas which I intended to give to me, myself and I.. haha selfishness (I had other delicacies for them naman na). Once I saw these yemas I bought them and stored it since with my almost 2 weeks of travel, I did not had the chance to try them.
So here are the yemas that we have here in the Philippines and I tell you, I love them all!!! They tasted so delisyoso!!! haha These yemas of course were sweet but it taste the right yema with egg. For me, (although I am no yema expert) I like my yema to have the taste of the egg. With that taste, I am assured that they yema is not purely sugar!
