Bronuts: Floss flavor

As promised I would definitely try the floss flavor of Bronuts. Yes! Another Bronuts post. I really like that Bronuts is big, flavorful and not oily.  But this is not good if you are watching your weight... :)

What I like about this flavor:
  • This flavor is a little spicy - Like!
  • Consistently, it is soft
  • The actual Bronuts is not oily but this flavor is a little oily due to the floss
  • There's a filling in the middle, I am not sure if it's cream cheese with mayo but I am sure that there is like japanese mayo
  • The filling taste really good! Matched very well with the floss
  • Have enough amount of the floss - a lot actually fell at the bottom

Look how thick is Bronuts! I hope they will be able to maintain their price of Php 110.00 each piece.

Next, I would like to try their salted caramel flavor.

Choc Nut Milk Choclate Drink Mix

Yes I know what you are all thinking! The Choc Nut is now in a powdered drink! It is exciting right? Our favorite chocolate peanut bar can now be taken as a drink for breakfast, snack or if anytime you just like drinking. Having it in a drink will give us a more full feeling and energy booster.

Same as the other powdered drinks, you just need to add water. To know more about the product and the ingredients just take a look below. :) But they didn't indicate the amount of sugar per pack.

Now let's try it!

Here's the powder, it looks like choco powder mix, I also wasn't able to smell the choc nut flavor.

Upon adding water, it really smelled more of the chocolate. It taste sweet so I added more water. It taste like chocolate only more of the cocoa taste instead of milk chocolate. I was expecting it to taste like the real choc nut flavor. But maybe because they indicate it to be as Chocolate Milk Drink Mix, I should have expected it to be chocolate. But since it's branded as Choc Nut, I would prefer that they make it taste like the choc nut bar.

What do you guys think?

Corporate Outfit

A very quick post for today! I realized I haven't been able to blog any office or corporate outfit. I've been working in a corporate world like your usual gal, being in an air-conditioned office from Monday to Friday. So I can say I've been buying more of corporate outfits for quite some time already.

Here's my first post of my office outfit. Most of the time I don't really like to take extra effort in dressing up since I prefer to make use of my time to sleep than prepare. haha! That's why I tend to buy outfits that doesn't need to mix and match nor need to accessorize much.

That's why dresses are a way to go! No need to mix and match, just put it on and voila ready to go. I also tend to just wear a watch and one same bag everyday as I don't want to keep on changing as I will surely leave some important things.

Like this dress that I got from Mango, I think that it is corporate appropriate because of the fabric, color plus the style. The sleeves are way to go for that very cold aircon but with a shorter length for a lady like feel.

I like that this dress is simple yet can work on itself already, just finalized it with red heels for that stylish attitude (please check my previous post). If I am in the mood I can wear a statement or classic necklace with this. I don't really like to wear bracelet at work since it's a little sagabal. :)

Lastly! What I like about this dress is that I can wear it in different look. Just pair it with  different accessories like boots, scarf and tights during winter.

Here's my blooper post. :)

What is that facial reaction right??

Dayaw Coffe Shop

I've been to Davao last month for business trip. Most of the time when I go business trips I can't find time to take some fashion posts or any other blog posts. (Maybe next time I would think how can I squeeze in a few time .... hhmmm). Anyway in spite of that there is one place that is worth sharing with you. Sorry for not being able to take enough photos of the place since I was in a hurry while having our breakfast.

Anyway, when we were in Davao I really wanted to have Durian coffee and luckily we were able to see Dayaw Coffee Shop. Our attention was initially caught by the collections (of the owner) presented outside of the coffee shop.

But I would like to talk first about Dayaw Coffee Shop, it's located at SM Davao and they offer of course several coffee both hot and cold. Plus what a great way to pair any coffee would be cakes / pastries.

Dayaw Coffee Shop is different in a way that their interior is very native. The owner ensured to make it very Filipino particularly Mindanao feel. It is the ambiance that sets it apart. Look at the interiors, the owner really bought the textile from Zamboanga.

There are also several paintings that are of course from the Philippines.

Look! Even the tables have details and it's very Filipino! Very Makabayan feeling! It's something great to present to the tourists too!

And there's the menu of Dayaw... Besides the coin there are stamps too!

Now let's move on to the food, let's see if they just focus on the ambiance only.

So here are the available cakes when I was there. Of course I checked if there's a Durian flavor. And Yes! I had 2 cakes to choose from, either the cheesecake or the brazo.

I find the cakes affordable at the given size. They look yummy too!

After a little deliberation, we decided to get the cheese cake as it was also recommended by the barista.

Dayaw Durian Cheese Cake De Leche, the size was enough specially that it's Durian flavor. It's big enough for the price.

Look, it's thick enough for a cheese cake! There are cheese cakes that are so thin in height that it is very bitin! haha

What I liked about the Cheese Cake:
  • Great presentation, very cheese cake and looks yummy
  • Smells very durian
  • Really taste like durian
  • Made with real durian fruit and not the jams only
  • But I was also able to taste the cheese cake!
  • The cheese cake was great, it's a real cheese cake  (for me), it's not the moose type of cheese cake
  • It is sweet because of the leche it was actually good to be sweet to balance the smell of the durian
  • Overall, it is a balance of cheese cake, durian and the leche
Base on my experience, too much durian is not ok. It feels hot on the body makes you feel like sick. Argh, it's hard to explain. For the Chinese community out there it's the feeling of yah diat. Hope you get what I mean.hehe

Cons:
  • If you don't like durian - say no to this
  • May be too sweet for some because of the leche

Here I am before enjoying Dayaw Durian Cheese Cake De Leche

Now let's move on to the Durian Coffee! This is what I really wanted to have. By the way during the trip I was able to eat the Durian fruit and drink Durian shake. I love the shake I drank twice haha!

What I appreciated with the barista is that when I told him if he can lessen the coffee for me since I am really not a coffee person (at times I palpitate when drinking coffee) he suggested that he can just put more of the white chocolate or milk ( I can't remember). That's great right!

What I like about Durian Coffee:
  • Smells good, coffee and durian
  • Can really smell the durian flavor
  • Taste a little bitter (not sure if it's from the durian or coffee)
  • Taste good!
  • With a few durian bits (like husk) since it's also made from the real durian fruit
  • It's a little sweet that is right for my taste since I asked to lessen the coffee

Look! Consistent of the feel of the whole Dayaw coffee shop! Native design coffee holder.

I give the cake and the coffee two thumbs up!

Just to share with you, just outside the coffee shop the owner displayed his collection of coins which he got from several parts of the world. What's nice is that he is there sharing the stories of the coins. It's like you are in a museum. It was very kind of him to share it with the consumers.

You may think that it's marketing strategy for him to do it. But I tell you! We were lucky to be able to talk to the owner and we really felt the sincerity of him just wants share the learning and knowledge to the world.

Here are some of his collections which he gladly shared the story with us too. He also told us that he changes the display every month. So Davao people! Something for you to check out every month!

To those who are going to Davao! Make sure to drop by Dayaw coffee shop and take a look of the collection, but of course don't miss to try their food and drinks too!

Thank You Sir for a wonderful experience! I am so mean... I forgot his name. :(

Monde Nissin Special Mamon Strawberry Jam

And another food post. Ooooppppssss.... Always eating and thinking about food. Argh! Anyway I didn't know that Monde Nissin Special Mamon have fillings now. I just saw this in the supermarket when I was buying some snacks for a simple get together. I haven't eaten breakfast that time so I just thought if getting some mamons and here it is.

They have it in another flavor too, I just forgot what the flavor. I like that it still look the same as their original special mamon but adding the hint of red and strawberries emphasizing the strawberry jam flavor.

It look as if it has a great amount of strawberry fillings.

Now let's move on to per pack. Almost the same details with the big pack. I find the size just right. Not too big and not too small for a mamon.

Look how cute is the barcode. Argh the ingredients part is a little small. :)

Now let's really move on to the mamon itself.

with out flash
It smells sweet and yummy, upon looking at the actual mamon still the same impression about the size. And look I didn't expect that I will be able to see that it would really have that much of the strawberry fillings.
with flash

I like that it has the right thickness in terms of height. Not too thick and not too thin, but let us see if this is composed of air only.

I cut it into half so that you will be able to see it, it is actually compact and I think with generous amount of strawberry fillings. And yes it is not compose of air only. While eating it, I find the amount of strawberry filling just right, not too much. The mamon and the strawberry filling are sweet but not too sweet. The strawberry filling really taste like strawberry. I liked it! Great for baons.

Disclaimer: This is not a paid post. Bought the items on my own, sharing you my own personal experience.
