Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo

It's so hot and yes I will tell it again and again. The weather is so hot. With this hot weather, I needed to make sure that I give my hair the moisture and the freshness that it needs! So I have thought that it's the best time for me to use my sample of Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo.

Like any other Kiehl's samples. I love that they have the easy open tear part!

This shampoo is made with pure coconut oil. It is widely known what coconut oil extracts are great for conditioning the hair so I am excited to use this product!

Here are the ingredients.
Easy tear

I was surprised that the shampoo was actually in a gel type feeling and in transparent color. I thought that it would be color white. Since it's in a gel type but not super gelly, but more of liquidy type it's not oily even if this shampoo is with pure coconut oil. And since it's with pure coconut oil, it smells so good! It reminds me of the beach as it is very tropical like that of a sunblock but more fragrant and light. I like the smell.

After using this sample, here's what I think:
  • I love the smell! It's so tropical. It's light too.
  • After more than 8 hours, the smell was still intact lightly even if I sweat for some time.
  • I find the content few, it was not enough or is it just may hair is long?
  • It's not bubbly nor foamy. So if you are used to a foamy shampoo this is not for you. I find that I can't scatter the shampoo to all parts of my hair.
  • I felt that my hair was smooth to the parts where I have directly applied the shampoo.
  • But I didn't feel that it thoroughly moisturzied / conditioned my hair.
  • I felt that my hair was just the same.
  • I am not considering to get this product but on the second thought I want to try it again. I am thinking that the amount wasn't enough for my hair?

Here's a photo of my hair using Kiehl's Shampoo
I'll be road testing some more hair care soon!

Kiehl's Line Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate

As promised here's my review with Kiehl's Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate. I've been lucky that I got free items for eye cream since the start of this year as I promised myself to give my eye area more care. So here's my experience after using Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye which you can read here.

This product is Formulated to improve the look of the delicate eye area with a potent concentration of Pure Vitamin C 10.5% (L-Ascorbic Acid), known for its affinity with skin and powerful ability to improve the appearance of aging skin. While Haloxyl, a new-patented ingredient, strengthens, soothes and brightens the eye area helping to eliminate dark circles.

Let's put this to test......

What I like about Kiehl's free items is that they have an easy tear opening! Since it's placed in a sachet, I transferred it into a small container. For a free / trial pack, the amount was good enough.

Unlike Kiehl's Midnight Recovery this one is a little liquidy with a flesh to yellowish color. It doesn't have a smell which I like. It was also very easy to apply but I felt a little sting with my eyes when I first applied it. I thought that I might just have applied it too near with my eyes but after several days I still felt the stingy feeling. But since I am on the review of it, I still finished this product.

After finishing this product, here are my observations:
  • My eyes were not fluffy and it maintained what Kiehl's Midnight Recovery did to my eyes
  • I felt stingy feeling on to my eyes
  • Though it was liquidy, I felt it creamy when applied and soft on the under eye
  • The thing is my under eye fine lines were still visible
  • It didn't brightened my eyes too :(

Before
After
I will probably consider getting Kiehl's Midnight Recovery than this one.

Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin - Clearing Treatment

Well hello! Did you miss me?? hehe Sorry for mia for the past few days but hey I am back. As promised I will post more often this 2013.  I just got back from my facial treatment with my derma, oh yeah finally! I had the time and it feels good to have a clean face! You all know that I experience break outs often and I am always on the look out for acne / oil control products. On my previous post, I promised that I will post a review about Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment which I got free samples from Kiehl's.

I have road tested this product for one month already and I have finished one sachet already. Here's my experience about the product.

Let's look at the ingredients and how does it work! Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment is formulated with a powerful blend of blemish-fighting Diolic, Salysic and Lipo Hydroxy Acids, known to minimize the appearance of acne and blemishes.

Since it's in a sachet, I transferred it into a smaller container for easy usage. A small sachet of 5ml is actually a lot. It can go a long way depending on your condition.

My Verdict:

  • It has a dermaish smell. A little soapy and not a strong scary smell.
  • It doesn't have a creamy but more of a liquidy texture.
  • I was expecting that it will turn my skin dry but it didn't.
  • Base on my observation,  it dries up acne spots after 3 days of application ( I apply at night only) and it prevents the acne to develop or get bigger.
  • To the areas that I apply this product, I notice that it minimized or even prevent oiliness.
  • It feels very light and safe on the skin.
  • It is a good product for acne prevention and removal.
  • Though I don't notice that it prevented blemishes.
Overall, this is a great product. I think this is a little expensive so I will consider getting this product. I will have to check the amount of the product given the price. :)

Do you have any other recommendation?

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye

As promised, here's another eye cream post! If you read my previous post about eye cream you know why I want to try several eye creams this year. Now, I decided to try Kiehl's Midnight recovery eye cream (if you remember on my previous post, I got samples). It is a restorative concentrate of essential oils and botanicals improves the youthful appearance around he eye. Infused with the same natural ingredients as Midnight Recovery Concentrate, as well as Butcher's Broom, this night treatment leaves under-eye skin feeling strengthened and replenished. Midnight Recovery Eye's non-migrating cream texture is specifically formulated for the delicate eye area.

This eye cream promises to:
  • Diminishes the appearance of fine lines
  • Reduces puffiness
  • Reduces dark under-eye circles
  • No parabens, fragrance, mineral oil or silicones

Let's put this to test.....

What's great about this sample size is that it has the easy tear opening. Very convenient! Since it's a sample size, I transferred it to a small container.

It's in color white form and looks very creamy! It has this botanical smell which I like. Since it's super creamy, a little amount will go a long way. It's very easy to apply as it slides through easily on my under eye. I don't feel any strong or irritating feeling upon it setting on my under eye.

I've been using this for over a week already and here's what I think:
  • I FEEL that my eyes are less puffy!  Rarely do we feel the puffiness, we just feel the product to be refreshing.
  • My under eye became very smooth.
  • My eyes became less dark, though it's still dark.
  • My little fine lines were still there (though I have few fine lines yet)
Over all it does what it do to have a youthful eye by reducing puffiness. It also somehow reduced my under eye darkness. But fine lines were still there so I am excited to use their other eye cream product which is Kiehl's Line reducing eye - brightening concentrate.

after over one week

By the way,  I tried sleeping before 12 midnight while using this product. Whatever products we use, it won't be as effective with out having the right hour of sleep.

Await for my next Kiehl's eye cream post after I finish this one. :)

Kiehl's

I would just like to share with you my latest free items! Yipppee! I love free items, who wouldn't want one??? I got this on our latest visit at Kiehl's with mother dear. Since the Sales Lady couldn't convince me to get the Acne Blemish Control thingy, she gave me a trial size. I think that's great since I am really hesitant yet to get it. I want to do more research and also check out other brands where I already have in mind. So after using this tiral sizes and if it worked for me then I think I would definitely get it! So nice strategy right? Haha So here's what we got, some were free from purchase but Acne Blemish Control was really targeted for me. I don't know why do I have this since I am no longer a teenager! I didn't have it this bad way back then!

I'll be posting reviews of each product after testing them. For now, of course what else would I be starting to test! It's definitely the Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin Clearing Treatment. I'll share with you the result, so stay tuned!

Here are the eye creams that I included on my previous post. I am thinking if I will start using this already. But I think I might start using this too. Stay tuned for this too! :)

I am actually excited to use these products, I really love to try Kiehl's products but I find them a little expensive. I like that Kiehl's look so dermaish and scientific. It's like they are the laboratory of skin experts both products and their stores. Everytime I go inside their store, it gives me that feeling. I haven't posted anything about Kiehl's yet but I would love to start it with these freebies then probably on my next purchase.

Do you find Kiehl's products effective?
