Fete De La Musique Outfit

Here's a very quick post for today. I attended Fete De La Musique (Manila) last Saturday. It's my first time to attend the event and actually I don't really have any idea about the event. I don't know what to expect too. I didn't bother to research about it too since I will be going with my friends, I was just thinking to enjoy and have fun. I was just told that we will be going from one place to the other so I should wear something very comfortable.

Outfit consideration: 1.) Lots of walking (transfer of venue) 2.) Mix of indoor and outdoor venue, 3.) Mix of high end and street wise venue 4.) Hot weather 

Here's what I decided to wear, definitely very friendly for the hot weather plus very comfortable. And of course it should be trendy.

I really love this pants, it gives so much personality already that I just need to pair it with basics. So I paired it with this spag strap with built in underwear already (this is super duper comfortable!). But since I didn't want to look too sexy and expose too much skin, I decided to add a cover up and added a little color. Decided not to wear too much accessories too.

This look is more of a fun, edgy, street, funky and hip. But since it's a music festival, I think it's still appropriate for those more sophisticated venues too.

Funk Girl

What to do when you got a dress one size bigger than you but the style and cloth makes it hard to have the option for alteration??? Throw it?? Of course not! The best way to do is clamp it with a belt!

Look at the difference.... For this look, it is better to use a wide belt to squeeze in all the excess cloth. I pulled down the dress so that the excess cloth from my rib would be squeezed in the belt. A dress won't put to a waste when worn with the right accessory.

For this kind of outfit fix, I suggest to use a gartered belt so that it squeeze in the body thus the cloth will be tucked securely. You won't have the problem of tucking the excess cloth once in a while. If that happen then, you won't feel comfortable! In that case, donate the dress to someone who would love to have it. :)

Since I was going to a children's party. I wanted to wear something comfortable and lively. But then I need to be in the office early that morning too, so the best way to do is wear a dress that is right for both consideration.

What I like about this dress is that it's a combination of girly and funky style. Funky due to the few black details plus the pleated style of the dress made it girly! 

 Lastly, I didn't want to look so girly, so I decided to wear an all black arm bands and a dark colored watch that also matched with my dark colored belt.

Lastly, I wore my Salt Water Sandals again as the design and the color coincidentally matched with my so called funk girly look.

Style

It's another lafang day today.. Oh no!!! Diet mode na ako and on the first day sira na after a day of exercise pa naman! Waaahhh!!! If you remember my previous post what to wear when eating buffet?? Comfort is a must and loose type specially at the tummy part is the key! But never the less fashyon and style shouldn't suffer....... 

Here I am today, wearing a very comfortable just above the knee length flowy cut dress. I paired it with my super duper comfortable sandals, you don't want to walk like a turtle due to blistered feet. I again opted to wear minimal accessories to match my outfitey... Less is More!

What do you think about my accessory for today?

 I only need a mini bag that day just to carry my must have items when out.

Tip: Wear a thin belt to cut a monotonous color and also to emphasize the waist. To those who have a straight body shape this trick will do for you.

And lastly, to make the look more fun and sophisticated (in short, breaking a manang look) have this type of dress with low back line.  Nice right?? So for all the sort of conservative type of girls, you may try to wear this kind of dress. Love love love!

Mixed Matched

It's been a while since I posted a fashion post. Philippine weather have been very unpredictable lately, now it's pouring rain later sun shines brightly!! Gosh! You may go out of the house wearing an outfit that might not be weather appropriate.... But today was a very hot day and I opted to wear something breezy like a mullet skirt. Its sheerness and short front and long back makes it perfect when you feel like something girly but not oh so girly. Paired it with a loose top with ribbon details make my outfit again a little girly girly.....

Nakikisama ang air, with a little flying effect. hehe

Can you remember this?? I've actually worn this before, so you see re-wearing clothes is not something that we bloggers should be ashamed of. On my previous post, I was not able to take a good photo of this top so sharing wtih you again a better vision the details of this top. This top is oh so love! I can pair it with a bright shorts, skinny jeans, and of course skirts.

Honestly, I don't usually like wearing a super girly girl outfit that's why to break the girly look I wore my Sand Water sandals. Interesting right?? Keep on reading this post to know more about it.

To break the girly girly look, I wore black accessories with gold or bronze type details. This kind of details gives the accessory a more classy classy look but with an attitude. Love it right?? I will definitely get more of these! (Finally got my blogger bracelet at The Bead Shop.)

Before I finish my outfit, I saw my sister looks very casual so I opted to wear my Salt Water Sandals to give my outfit a little casual look. I first learned about Salt Water Sandals via Manila Fashion Observer and I got hooked to this.

Salt Water Sandals is made for the beach! Finally a footwear for the beach besides flip flops! Oh yeah! That's why I made sure to get this on latest trip and really searched where to get this. On a side kwento, it was hard to look for the place of the store where this was available. So along with my friends, we were like in a maze and race searching for the place. Luckily my friends were really game and they accompanied me until we finally saw the place and found out that it was still closed! Oh no!!! Buti na lang, I have great friends and they told me that we will come back again after we get some other stuffs! Yippppeee!!!

Wow they even have wearing instruction! They have it in neutral colors like red, black, brown etc. But when I saw that this baby is also available in gold and silver! I knew that I will get it in this color. So finally! I decided to get this in silver color. Yehey!!!!

I read reviews that this adories are very comfortable, but when I saw the instructions I was alarmed that I might get blisters or it might turn out to be not feet friendly considering that these are leather made. But as expected, Salt Water Sandals are very very comfortable! It fits very good to my feet, so this is a must have! Literally fashion and comfort in one!
