The Face Shop Flawless Fitting Foundation

I've already finished one of my daily bb cream and it's time bring out another stock of my foundation. There was a time last year when I was on my unusual self and was obsessed to buy and try a lot of foundations.

I've seen and read about this foundation from The Face Shop and heard good reviews about it. So when I saw this I bought it but it's only now that I will be able to try it. I think this is not available anymore but I would still want to share with you what I think about this product from The Face Shop.

I think The Face Shop had a collaboration with a great make up artist for this line. I don't want to elaborate about it and just talk about the product.

In Korean, but I think if you get it here in the Philippines, they'll have a translation.

From the name itself and base on the packaging, this product claims to give a smooth and even finish ....  shouldn't I need to say more but it promises a Flawless look.

I've only got the foundation and the risky part to this is that it is only available in this shade. We know that Koreans and Pinays have different skin tones so maybe it won't fit well with Pinay skins.

I appreciate the simple and sophisticated look with that hint of pink. I think that it looks like this product knows the needs of us ladies.

I really appreciate products that are properly sealed! I am assured that I am getting the full quantity of the product.

Now time to swatch the product.

It looks a little darker than my usual foundation but it has that creamy liquidy texture. It also has that foundation powdery (but not that of baby powders) smell that is ok.

Blended the product on the right side of my hand only. You can see the difference of the two sides of my hands.

On a closer look, you will be able to see that it evens out the lines from my skin. It works like a tinted primer. It's a little dewy but not shiny. I actually like how it looks on my hand. But let's see if it does the same effect when applied on the face. And it actually blended well with the skin tone of my hands.

It actually works well and gave me the same effect when I applied it on my face. You can see on my photo below (worn The Face Shop Flawless Fitting Foundation only) that it did evened out my skin. It also looked dewy but not oily. I am glad that it matched well with my face skin tone too as it's not too white nor dark. I also like that it felt light weight on my skin.

Now here's another photo after applying some concealer and loose powder.

I actually like this product! It didn't give me an oily look even at night plus it retained my fresh look (though lately we have a cool weather). It's stay put properly and what I like about it is that it has high spf of 35! Bravo!

Here's another photo below as soon as I got home tonight. You can see that it's still intact even if I had tried on different clothes (huli! Yes I shopped again... I should really need to lessen my shopping!)

If The Face Shop still have this line, I would consider buying it again as I think it costs much expensive here in the Philippines compared to our neighbor countries.

In a few days it'll be Chinese New Year already. I hope that I'll be able to take a Chinese New Year Fashion Post and share it with you.

The Face Shop Rice Water Lip and Eye Remover

My first post for make up remover! After going to events, always make sure to remove all traces of make up even when you are super duper sleepy! And here's my first post for my make up remover as I already finished my previous make up remover.

Here's The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Lip and Eye Remover. Though it indicates Lip and Eye Remover, I still use it for my whole face.

What's different with this is that it has Rice Water, Morning Oil and Soapwort that removes makeup but remains the skin hydrated. It is a ‘Emulsion in Toner’ formula, it is separated into 2 layers with milk-colored emulsion on top and clear water base on bottom part.

Look it is also sealed like any other makeup products. It is very important for me that makeup products are always sealed.

It has just the right opening for me to get the right amount of product that I need.

Since it has rice water it actually is whitish when applied on the cotton.

What I liked about the product:
  • It smells so good! This I have not yet experienced with other make up removers
  • It does not feel as oily as the other brands due to the rice water attribute
  • It feels gentle on the skin
  • No irritation on my skin and eyes
  • And it removes make up pretty good
Will I repurchase this product again?

Yes! As long as it is available in the market, this is a great make up remover.

Disclaimer: I bought the product on my own.

Wrong shade

Hi guys! How's 2013 for you? For me, I'm pretty good. Still busy with work plus a lot of celebrations to attend the whole month. It's a good thing since I wasn't able to meet up with my close friends during the Holiday Season. But this has nothing to do with my post. :)

If you remember on my previous posts that my sister already got married. It means that she move out already. The thing is, we share almost all of our things together. From clothes, bags, shoes, make up, etc. But it's time to move out already and we finally divided our things (can you imagine how did we decide to divide our things?? haha it's in a peaceful way naman!haha). Though we divided a lot of things, she still needs to buy some personal stuffs for herself and one of which was a loose powder for her everyday use. The thing is she bought the wrong color even if the shade was natural, it is too dark for her. She looked like she wants to have a tan. There were no available tester but she still bought it because I recommended the brand to her. Oh no patay! Though in my defense, I did not recommend any shade. haha! Anyway she told me about it and she didn't know what to do with it. Then I told her I can fix it by buying another loose powder with a lighter shade and mix it with her dark one. After that we can share it together (syempre 2 loose powder na yun!)

So here's how it goes. When you got the wrong shade of loose powder, go get another one with the opposite shade of the one that you mistakenly bought. For this post, my sister got a darker shade for her actual skin tone. To make it wearable again, I thought of getting a loose powder that is one shade lighter than my skin tone.

Dark shade loose powder

Since I just went to the K-Land I listed this on my must have cosmetic items to bring home, e kailangan ko naman talaga e! hehe Since we didn't really had enough time for shopping I decided to get it in the last cosmetic place that we went to. Good thing The Face Shop was available there since I am knowledgeable and aware of their products. I've seen and read an article of The Face Shop my magic touch so I knew I will be getting a good product. So here's the lighter shade since I will be mixing it with the dark shade of my sisters powder.

Lighter shade of loose powder

Look at it's cute fluffy sponge. It's soft and velvety that is great for setting the loose powder.

First of, place the darker shade of the loose powder in a container and slowly add the lighter shade one until your reach the desired color. How will you know if it's already enough? Brush it off on the side of your hands first. Estimate it and if you feel like it's already ok then brush it off on your face. If it's still dark then continue adding more lighter shade until you reach the right shade. It's really pretty much trial and error. But Voila instant loose powder fix!

When mixed together until I reached my desired shade according to my skin tone.

Yippee! How the mixed loose powder looked on me.

Look at how it matched my skin tone. You won't even notice of the darker shade right? So when getting the wrong shade of loose powder... Don't loose hope! There will always be instant fix by mixing it with a lighter shade. Don't waste your money! Hope you enjoyed. What are your cosmetics mishaps and how did you fix it? Share me your stories.

The Face Shop Vita C mask sheet

For those of you have been following my blog, you know that I'm super duper busy and all stressed out. I've already learned how to manage stress and hand in hand with that are occasional visit to spa and   dermatologist. I do also have quick at home stress relievers and my recent one is The Face Shop Vita C mask sheet which mamsy gave me.

The Face Shop Vita C mask sheet is your at home spa that helps tone and whiten skin. It has Vitamin C, Raspberry and Strawberry extracts that brighten dull skin and fights free radicals. What's great about this product is that it has Patented Phytolex Nanoliposome that effectively delivers beneficial ingredients deep into the skin and helps protect tired, rough skin from environmental damages.

It's very easy to use! Just wash your face, remove the sheet form the pack and place it on your face for 15-20 minutes. So easy right!

Cute! The color of the mask is light pink!! So girly!

This is another embarrassing picture! hehe
What I like about the product:
  • It is very easy to use
  • Very cool and calming to the face
  • My face felt relaxed
  • It has a good light rose smell, I'm not a fan of rose scent but this was fine
  • It's good that I don't need to wash my face afterwards, it's so user friendly
I'll check if they have a variant that is specially for Oily Face. I would definitley want to get this again.
