Fete De La Musique Manila 2014

Last week I went to Fete De La Musique Manila 2014 with my friends. I actually don't have any idea about it, I just know that it's a music festival. I was oriented by my friend that it's a yearly thing and it's a music festival that plays different genres of music at different venues. I really don't have that much idea of Fete De La Musique Manila 2013, but according to my friend the venue last year isn't as much as of that this year.

Fete De La Musique originated from Paris and now is here in Manila to help aspiring musicians to have an outlet to showcase their talents.

For this post, I just want to share with you my experience from Fete De La Musique last week! The reason why we attended this Music Festival is just to hang out with my friends and turned to Music appreciation, learning more of different types of music.

For this year, Fete De La Musique Manila had 2 main stages (Makati and Intramuros Manila). My friends and I decided to hop around the Makati area and here are the pocket stages that we were able to attend to.

1. Rock at B Side, The Collective

I actually am not a fan of rock music but it's worth a try to learn about rock. It was hard for me to appreciate rock music para akong nabing.... so I just focused on checking out the fashion of those who love rock music. I find it amusing but there are some that caught my attention, they balanced the rock feel but still very fashyon.

2. Indie Stage by NDFY at 12 Monkeys Century City Mall

I was able to appreciate this music and crowd. There were different types of music but were mostly a band. It's not your usual pop or r&b music but it's relatable and good for relax, chill, happy, party etc. depending on the style of the musician. The crowd in here is more of the young people. I would love to go back at 12 monkeys since I was drooling on their food! Every time the waiter brings out food, it's like my eyes have magnet on it. I wasn't able to try any food since it was a standing room.

3. Chill Out Stage by Radar MNL at Buddha Bar

I was also able to appreciate this type of music along with the venue. The music was very relaxing and really perfect for that chill night! You can dance along with the music but it's not that loud of that crazy night. The crowd here are a little older and sosyal.

4. Jazz Stage by PI Jazz Festival Foundation Hosted by Sandra Lim-Viray at Bayleaf Lounge, St. Giles Hotel

I was also able to appreciate this type of music, it's slow and relaxing but with a strong character. The crowd here were mostly older people and drinks spirits. This is a relaxing music and I think great for date nights.

5.  Blues Soul & Funk Stage by Mamborat Productions at H&J

I was only able to listen to one song only since they had to take a break. I enjoyed this one because of the personality of the song and it was very entertaining. It's nice for that night out with friends where in you can have a conversation, hang out, drink and dance. The place was oh so crowded! Here, the crowd is a mixture of young ones and foreigners. I hope to go back to this place since I heard that the food is great.

6. World Stage by Luna Fest + Musikeraw at Cafe Curieux

This is the most entertaining stage of all! If music alone, I might not be able to appreciate it. But the music is combined with special acts. This type of entertainment is very ideal to watch when in the beach. The place was too crowded too, you have to extend at your best to be able to see the acts. The crowd here is a mixture of young adult, young ones and foreigners.

7. Electronica Stage by Nomad Massive at Time in Manila

This is the party party song, very upbeat and energetic. This is the ones played on bars and party place. This is for the young ones who are very much into partying. The place is almost empty and I don't know why.

8. Latin Stage at Chihuahua

We were able to see people dancing with Latin songs. The smell of the Mexican food was too strong so we were not able to stay long. The place was jam packed and the people inside were really Latin looking. It was cute.

9. A. Venue Main Stage

Here there are representatives from each music genre to perform.

I actually didn't plan to blog about this experience. But after the whole experience, I felt that I want to share it. It's a nice venue to know and learn about different musics. Learning the culture of the music and matching it with the people who are in to that music. It's like traveling, learning the culture and people of the place. It was a very tiring event but fun! It's more fun if you go with a group of friends, the more the merrier. If I had decided early on to blog about this, I should have taken videos of the musics and shared it with you. Hope you enjoyed this post. :)

Fete De La Musique Outfit

Here's a very quick post for today. I attended Fete De La Musique (Manila) last Saturday. It's my first time to attend the event and actually I don't really have any idea about the event. I don't know what to expect too. I didn't bother to research about it too since I will be going with my friends, I was just thinking to enjoy and have fun. I was just told that we will be going from one place to the other so I should wear something very comfortable.

Outfit consideration: 1.) Lots of walking (transfer of venue) 2.) Mix of indoor and outdoor venue, 3.) Mix of high end and street wise venue 4.) Hot weather

Here's what I decided to wear, definitely very friendly for the hot weather plus very comfortable. And of course it should be trendy.

I really love this pants, it gives so much personality already that I just need to pair it with basics. So I paired it with this spag strap with built in underwear already (this is super duper comfortable!). But since I didn't want to look too sexy and expose too much skin, I decided to add a cover up and added a little color. Decided not to wear too much accessories too.

This look is more of a fun, edgy, street, funky and hip. But since it's a music festival, I think it's still appropriate for those more sophisticated venues too.

Nescafe Creamy White

The weather is so off! The sun shines and then later the rain pours. It's the time of the year that the weather is so crazy! No certainty. But no matter what the weather is, we can drink coffee in the way we want. It can be hot or cold and by the way there's a new coffee in town. You may already know that I am really not a coffee drinker so when I drink coffee it should be sweet and very very creamy. For a time, my definition of coffee would only be frapuccinos only. haha

So when I found out about this new Nescafe variant, I was curious to try it.

There are a lot of white coffee available in the market but the difference of this is that the creamer is Nestle Powdered Milk. I love putting milk in coffee. haha At times, it's half coffee and half milk.

Nestle have a lot of products, they are also well known with their powdered milk. So I am expecting that this product should better be good.

Here's the ingredients.

Same as their other variants, it's in the same sachet size. Sachet is really the one selling well here in the Philippines.

I appreciate the packaging, very Nescafe. Same look with their other variants but with it's own color for it's own personality. The milk essence is well noticeable.

Now let's try this 3 in 1 creamy coffee.

Look! Upon opening you can really see that it's very whitish because of the powdered milk. And yes, I got excited because it's a sign that this variant is really creamy. Upon mixing it with water, it looks light brown because of the powdered milk.

My experience:
  • Smells balance of coffee and creamy (when still in powder and coffee drink)
  • Very creamy! A different creamy taste and I like it.
  • Sweet
  • Tasty
For coffee drinkers that prefer the strong taste of the coffee, this might not be the one for you. But if you want it this creamy, you can add a little coffee depending on your preference

I think this will be one of my 3 in 1 coffee. :)

Zip it at the back

Here's a different function for zippers! :) In this post, you'll see how a zipper can make a look more edgy.

As the title of my post says it zip it at the back, I mean literally. :) Coincidentally both my top and bottom are with back zippers. I started with this lovely shorts and just felt like pairing it with a plain lively colored top. And then I remembered I have this plain bright top with a zipper at the back and thought of trying to pull off an outfit full of back zippers.

It actually worked and looked edgy and funky!

It may look simple in front, but there's this story at the back. This top is great for the hot weather specially to ladies who doesn't really like to wear sleeveless tops. It gives coverage to the arms but doesn't compensate the breezy feeling.

When I first saw this shorts, I knew I wanted it. Though I felt that it's a little bit short and pricey (pricey for a short) I still got it since I really liked the style. Simple but stylish and with strong personality. It's also very well tailored!

Lately, I really don't feel like piling up accessories so I decided to wear my new loom band that I got from my niece again. :)

Lastly, to complete my look I wore this boat shoes to break the simple look. It's a balance of simple and fashyon. The simple style of a boat shoes but with a shining brightly color plus pillow look.

Share with me your zipper it up look. :)

Nivea Anti-Perspirant Extra Whitening

This year's summer season was super duper hot! With the hot season, we need to be protected very well.  A sweaty armpit will ruin our look. During the sale of Nivea I decided to get their Anti-Perspirant Extra Whitening and check if anti-perspirant whitening are effective.

Nivea anti-perspirant provides 48 hour protection and whitening effect.

I prefer that they indicate the expiry date instead of the manufacturing date.

Nivea is a well known and trusted brand for personal skin care so when choosing a deodorant, this brand is also of many people's choices.

My experience:
  • Have fragrant smell which I don't mind
  • Very Nivea packaging with glass packaging
  • Easy to roll on, the roll on functions very well
  • Liquid in texture
  • Absorbs easily on the skin, doesn't drip
  • Doesn't wet shirt
  • Not sticky
  • I think it whitened my armpit after 3 weeks of daily use (though I don't have dark armpit)
I think this product could help me maintain the color of my skin specially that I shave. I had laser treatment but I still need a few more session to make it gone as possible as it can be. Though the nurses said that I have white armpit, I still want to whiten my armpit to at least maintain the color. Since I have fair armpit, the change isn't that drastic.

Will I purchase this product? I will consider, I am just hoping they create deodorant rather than anti-perspirant.

Pleated Dress

It's been a while since I posted a little dressy dressy. I normally post my usual daily outfit but this time I am able to get some fashion post for a formal event that I attended. It's actually a corporate event and we were required to wear formal. I didn't want to wear something over formal and look like I am going to a wedding. It should be balance of corporate and dressy look.

This pleated dress was as if it was meant for the event. I like that it's long - appropriate for formal. But it's actually have shorter lining and long sheer pleated outer skirt. I also love the color! It's not that bright (like neon) but very lively - corporate appropriate.

Though it looks very simple but wait until you see the back. It has this subtle sexy look, with a little low back and tied accentuate made my look more interesting.

I also love the sleeves! It covers my arms and provides me some warmth. Not so much skin to expose but with a very flowy and girly sleeves that made my look more sassy.

During formal outfitey, I prefer to wear classic accessories like this diamond necklace (I forgot where this is from..hehe) and matched it with this bracelet. This dress was with a black slim belt that I opted to wear that night too. The black belt gave the look that corporate feel too.

Lastly, it was time for me to use these lovely pair of heels again! It's metallic gold with glittery heels! I love these heels! It's super trendy but comfortable too. I can walk with these for a long period of time (remember I am more of a flats person).

For formal / corporate / conservative outfits but with a little personality I really find that the place to go to is Warehouse. Their pieces are very girly / women but doesn't need to show a lot of skin. Looking sexy with out showing too much skin.
